Summer Sauces

The average barbecue sauce contains MORE SUGAR PER TABLESPOON THAN SODA POP!
These three summer sauces are easy to prepare, can be made ahead of time in volume and stored for weeks in a glass mason jar in the fridge.
THE PROTEIN:
Fish
BONUS: top with fresh herbs and sliced lemon wedges to achieve Top Chef Status!
THE SAUCE:
Green Goddess
1 cup dijon mustard
1 lemon, juiced OR 2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
1-2 cups of fresh parsley, dill, basil and cilantro (PACKED with nutrients, potent antioxidants and great detoxifiers)
Pink salt and pepper to taste
*This sauce makes a great marinade, dip or dressing
THE PROTEIN:
Grass fed beef/bison burgers

THE SAUCE:
Ketchup
3 cans organic tomato paste
½ cup raw apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tsp. stevia liquid
1 tsp. pink salt
1 pinch of cinnamon, all spice and clove
1 cup filtered water
Simmer in a sauce pan until desired consistency. Let mixture cool completely until transferring into a glass mason jars.
THE PROTEIN:
Chicken or turkey breast
THE SAUCE:
BBQ Sauce
½ cup organic tomato paste
1 tbsp. raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar
½ tsp. mustard powder
1 garlic clove, minced
½ tsp. smoked paprika
sea salt and pepper to taste
OPTIONAL: stevia for a sweeter sauce or chilies for heat
Simmer in a sauce pan until desired consistency. Let mixture cool completely until transferring into a glass mason jar.
